If you haven’t seen, Severlin (the LOTRO Executive Producer) posted a note today describing their new approach to lootboxes in the upcoming U23:
Short form: they’re significantly reducing the importance of lootboxes/keys and making them a lot less central to the game. Instead of key slivers or keys, we’ll directly get the new ash-type currency.
I’m thrilled! I always strongly disagreed with how central lootboxes had become to the game, so I’m really happy that they’ll be more a “side perk” again instead of effectively “necessary to advance your character”.
