If you are experiencing lag while in the ettenmoors, I suggest you to look at this useful guide:

I also suggest you to install a plugin called PvMP+, which adds a toolbar in which you can see how much infamy do you need for your next rank, among some others stats:

And finally, remember to put yourself on “anonymous” under the social tab, to enable “target assist” under the combat options, and if you join a larger group or raid, they will ask you to have “voice enabled”, in order to listen to the leader.
