Hello Eagles,
As you may be aware, it’s getting to be that time of year again…elections are almost upon us! Some important information and dates are below. Apologies for the wall of text, but lots to announce here.
Important Dates:
May 18 – June 3, midnight ST: Nominations! Kinnies may self-nominate or 2 other Eagles can nominate, at which time the nominee can choose if they would like to accept the nomination. To nominate yourself or another kinnie, check to see if you qualify (details below) and speak with a council officer (Aglar, Ame, or Luri) or send an email to officers@eaglesofthorondor.com.
June 5 – June 15, midnight ST: Campaigning! Candidates will communicate their ideas and vision for the kinship using the forums or kinmail (sent by current council officers). Candidates will also answer questions from kinnies using tells or in-game mail.
June 17 – June 23: Voting! Voting will take place in the forums as usual. In order to vote, you must be registered to the forums. If you’re uncomfortable using your real email, you can use a disposable address (try https://mailinator.com/).
June 25: Inauguration Day! Come celebrate at the party kinhouse (2 Chalk, Falgo’s Delf, Shire Homestead) and welcome your new officers.

In-game officer –
DUTIES
In-game Officers are responsible for running a kinship event once a month, in-game mentoring, monitoring the kinship chat channel for CoC violations (https://www.eaglesofthorondor.com/about/#FAQ), passive recruiting and reporting to a Council officer.In-game officers are encouraged to assist council officers with operations of the kinship and/or to participate in committees.
REQUIREMENTS
Have been active in the kinship for 3 months.
Minimum in-game requirement is 6 hours/week.
Spend at least 51% of in-game time with Eagles characters.
Be clear of recent Code of Conduct violations (check with one of the Council officers).
Having audio is strongly recommended during fellowships, instances, raids, and skirmishes.
Must inform fellow council members of absences longer than a week.Council officer –
DUTIES
Council officers are members of the Eagles Council, and are expected to organize kinship events (2 events a month), actively recruit and mentor new members, update message of the day, deal with CoC violations, rotate leadership responsibilities with other Council officers in the absence of leader, and regularly update kinship documents and forums. They also need to be active outside of the game to lead and respond to council matters in a timely manner.Each officer will be responsible for a portfolio of duties necessary to keep the kinship running smoothly and must join either the Raid/Instance Events Committee or the Social Events Committee. If an officer does not volunteer for a task, a task will be assigned to them.
The portfolios are:
Minister of Kinship Roster: Keep up with the member list doc, promote kinnies when appropriate, send periodic kinmail updates with new members, alts, and promotions.Minister of Calendar: Provide a single point of contact for kinnies/officers wishing to run events. Keep up the event calendar and let people know if there is a conflict with proposed dates. Periodically send event mail to kinship.
Minister of Kinchests: Provide a single point of contact for kinnies wishing to donate to the kinchest system. Sort/place donations in appropriate chests. Develop and maintain standards/rules for items. Sell excess if needed and use funds to pay maintenance fees on kinchest houses. Optimize storage system when necessary.
Minister of Recruiting: Write/post periodic recruitment announcements and respond to inquiries.
Each officer will also be expected to participate in at least one standing committee and may also lead an additional committee as necessary to develop new initiatives or proposals related to their portfolio.
REQUIREMENTS
Have been active in the kinship for 3 months.

Minimum in-game requirement is 6 hours/week.
Be clear of Code of Conduct violations (check with one of the co-leaders to confirm)
Must be able to turn audio on during fellowships, instances, raids, and skirmishes (listening and speaking)
Must have or be willing to create a gmail account for their character.
Must inform fellow council members of absences longer than a week.Leader –
DUTIES
The leader is responsible for coordinating the council and is the Minister of Alliance Relations. In addition, the leader will make any demotions in the kinship, in consultation with the Minister of the Kinship Roster; maintain kinship house permissions, and manage and mediate conflicts.REQUIREMENTS
Active in the kinship for 5 months.
Spend at least 51% of in-game time with Eagles characters.
Minimum in-game requirement is 8 hours/week.
Must have been a previous officer.
Be clear of Code of Conduct violations (check with one of the Council Officers).
Must be able to turn audio on during fellowships, instances, raids, and skirmishes (listening and speaking)
Must inform fellow council members of absences longer than a week.Don’t forget, you can nominate yourself or others beginning on May 18th!
