I would like to put my name forward for Council Officer for another term. I’ve very much enjoyed working with the other officers to support the kin during this last term, and I would like to continue doing so.

Items for which I’ve been responsible this term:
      – running the kin Discord server
      – writing & sending the kin event notifications each week (kin mail, Discord, mail to 2 ally kins)
      – organizing & leading the officer meetings
      – running events focused on helping the kin obtain gear (Kidzul-kâlah 6-man, MM 3-mans)
      – (upcoming next week) organizing & leading kin Abyss of Mordath raid

I’m looking forward to continuing leading runs of newer instances, to reprising some of the class training sessions I held a while back (if there’s enough interest), and to working with the other officers to support the Eagles!

The Leader and all Officers are expected to abide by, respect, and embody the code of conduct as a bare minimum. Beyond that, they are expected to represent the kin well, responsibly, and respectfully at all times because they are the public face of the kinship.

One of the strengths of the Eagles is how all the officers work in support of each other as a team.

      Leader (1 position available)

Per Turbine’s rules, a kin leader is the sole person with the power to promote/demote members to officers, and to disband the kinship (No, never!). Leadership of the Eagles includes all the responsibilities of Council Officers, plus:

⦁ Expected to play 10 hours per week (on average) on kin toons
⦁ Must have been an Officer of the Eagles in the last year
⦁ Works to create and/or maintain an alliance/strategic partnerships with other kinships
⦁ Takes charge of leading and encouraging discussions regarding proposals for the kinship as needed and may perform or assign other duties as well, including leading organization for the next election

      Council Officers (3 positions available)

Council officers have all the duties of regular officers, plus supporting the leader in decision-making as well as maintaining and improving the health of the kinship. Being a council officer isn’t just about agreeing to perform a specific duty and doing it well; it’s about demonstrating initiative in taking care of the health of the kin, and about demonstrating solid judgement in doing so.

If there is no kin leader during a term, then council officers share the leadership duties, and fill the kin leader role on a rotation basis.

⦁ Recommended to have been an officer in the Eagles in the last year
⦁ Expected to play 7 hours per week (on average) on kin toons
⦁ Help maintain the Kinship House Chest (sort donations, sell overflow etc.)
⦁ Provide a point of contact for kinnies/officers wishing to run events; keep the event calendar updated and let people know if there is a conflict with proposed dates
      ⦁ Announce upcoming events
⦁ Update MOTD with upcoming event + freebie
⦁ Manage the recruits/alts/promos tracker (Google Sheets), and promote kinnies and alts when appropriate
⦁ Run, lead, or assist with leading at least one event per week, such as a social gathering, deed run, instance, or any other fun group activity for kin members
⦁ Run a scheduled event once a month (choose event and add to calendar in advance)
⦁ Help recruit new players to the kinship
⦁ Must maintain an officer gmail account and check it and is expected to reply to messages within a week, barring emergencies.

      Officers (6 positions available)

⦁ Expected to play 6 hours per week (on average) on kin toons
⦁ Help out kinnies in the game as you can, such as answering questions, helping on a quest, and so on
⦁ Lead or assist with leading at least one event per month, such as a social gathering, deed run, instance, or any other fun group activity for kin members
⦁ Participate in group activities regularly
⦁ Recruit players who request to join
⦁ Know the Eagles Code of Conduct and coach other players as needed

As an international kinship, our goal is to have at least one officer in each time zone. However, we know that depends on who decides to run. If you are active and from a non-Western Hemisphere time zone, please consider running.

Any questions? Contact one of the council officers, or email the officers at officers@eaglesofthorondor.com.

I would like to nominate Seremond for Council Officer. She has been a tremendous addition to the Officer team this last term and has had a significant impact on the kin, whether it be running numerous events, recruiting new members, helping kinnies, or just generally keeping her finger on the pulse of the kin.

She has also been a real pleasure to work with behind the scenes, and has brought solid judgement and experience to her Officer role. I look forward to continuing to work with her in supporting the Eagles!

For Council Off’cer I would run,
To ‘tinue work that I’ve begun.
      Some events a-leading,
      Class tips a-teaching,
I aim to help the Eagles have fun!

Are you referring to the “high resolution game data” or whatever it’s called? That basically makes everything look more detailed in-game, but potentially costing you performance (depending on your graphics card).

Yes, there’s a new crafting tier. Not sure whether it includes food or not, but it does include gear, class items and musical instruments:

      Greetings!

I’d like to put my name forward for a Council Officer position. I believe the kin made some good progress in the last six months, and I’m gratified to have played a part in that. Some specific areas I helped with included:

      – setting up & managing our Discord server
      – web site review & updates
      – leadership role review & updates
      – running many events, including leading two complete Abyss T1 runs and a Rakothas run
      – taking a 6-week turn as leader

My niche tends to be end-game content, and I will be continuing to organize and lead such events. Beyond that, I look forward to working with the incoming officers to keep supporting the Eagles.

      Sincerely,
      //Alaron

I’ll second those 3 nominations for council officers. I’ve worked with them all on runs & raids this term, and I’m confident they will be a great leadership team.

I accept the nomination as Council Officer. I look forward to continuing to work with the officer team to support the Eagles for another term.

A priority for me will be to write up a Champ 101 guide similar to my Hunter 101 guide, as I’ve received several requests for that. I’ll also be aiming to do a teaching session on using the Combat Analysis plugin.

I’d like to accept the nomination to continue as Council Officer. My aim is to continue supporting the Eagles via events & training sessions, and to keep helping the kin run smoothly.

The officer team has been a real pleasure to work with this term, and I’m looking forward to the next term as new officers join the team!

I’m on the far right. :) Here’s pretty much the same screenshot, but with names enabled (which excludes Alarondir of course since I took the shot)

Re 115 potions – yes, you do need them; and yes, they’re crafted by scholars.

For Abyss, you absolutely need wound (red) & fear (purple) pots. The other 2 can be useful on occasion, but the first two are critical.
